I started the fire engine manufacture which is not publicly-known and only remembered in case of a fire by establishing Volkan Fire Company in 1974. If you did not work as an apprentice at this job, then you could not be a professional. In 1978 I tried to find out a fireman’s feelings by working at Ýzmir Fire Department voluntarily.

Started at a small factory, Volkan has now a leading position as it breaks new grounds with a 200-staff at a field of 55000m2. We continue our effort to get into the world market by making exportations to almost 37 countries such as Thailand, Russia, Israel and India. I had the chance to visit some of the world’s fire brigade museums. From the time of formerly member of the fire brigades to our time, there have been many important developments at fire pumps and other accessories, but these developments cannot progress as rapidly as in the others since it is not an in-sight sector.

Volkan Fire Company manufactures hydraulic-ladder fire trucks, platforms and the water pumps which is the heart of the fire trucks internally. While producing these, we are aware that the greatest fires start with little sparkles and even seconds are crucial in extinguishing. Our products are manufactured by designing with respect to this remark. Our motto is to extinguish fire by using less water and foam without polluting the environment.
